| Facts about Carac Trailers Carac trailers include: 12” or 18” sides, drop front & rear gates, box tube frame, snap on coupling, solid axle, tie rails on each side, slipper springs, 5/8” gate hinges, A.D.R. approved lighting, draw bar anchored to front spring hangers. Trailers are primed and finished in hammertone enamel. All trailer components are new, except for rims & tyres. There is a 12 months warranty on all Carac trailers. Guarantee does not cover second hand wheels or damage caused by overloading and abuse to trailer. Wheel bearings must be greased periodically, particularly after immersion in water. Fwd vehicles & trucks must have shock absorbing tow bars fitted, for guarantee to be valid. |

| Trailers and Australian Design Rules for braking Trailers of up to 750 kg Gross trailer mass do not require brakes. Trailers over 750 kg and up to 2000 kg Gross trailer mass must have brakes on at least one axle. Over-run brakes are permitted. Trailers over 2000 kg and not exceeding 4500 kg Gross trailer mass must have brakes on all wheels with a breakaway system to automatically apply trailer brakes for at least 15 minutes. Brakes must be driver controllable from the driver's seat. |

| Registration The Road Safety Act requires most trailers to be registered. The main exemption is smaller trailers, which are not boat trailers, and are not used for commercial purposes, and which weigh less than 200kg unloaded, are less than 3.0m in overall length (including any load) and are narrower than the towing vehicle. It should be noted that this exemption does not apply interstate. We can arrange registration of new trailers purchased from us. It is necessary to comply with Vicroads requirements for identification to register a vehicles. A trailer cannot exceed a width of 2.5 metres measured to the widest part of the trailer, which includes lights,tyres etc. |
